PRESS RELEASE
Yesterday (Monday 16th February 2026), Anthony-Hamilton Productions announced their first short film; ‘The Pretender.’ The short film will be produced in collaboration with OGK Pictures. Producers Dylan Hamilton and Jack Anthony from Anthony-Hamilton are overwhelmed by the support for the project thus far. Furthermore, they are grateful to have such powerful collaborators in Oliver Griffiths and George Kenning from OGK Pictures.
We can announce that Oliver Griffiths will be directing ‘The Pretender’ with Jack Anthony will be playing the lead role of; Prince Richard of Shrewsbury. The historical production, written by both Jack and Oli is supported by both Dylan and George through pre-production and post-production specialisms.
‘The Pretender’ will be a short film slated for April 2026 filming, aiming for a festival cycle beginning in Fall 2026.
‘The Pretender’ is an all-UK production. Prince Richard of Shrewsbury battles his past, armies and faith in his conquest for the throne of England, upon which Henry Tudor sits, aware of Richard's claim.
It is inspired by the real-life events of the 15th century.
